Inspired by the “floor culture” in Asia and particularly in Indonesia, the designer is intrigue by the early notion of seating in Asian that employ a mat-level furniture culture, in which actual chair is non-existence, low raised table was usually present to accompany the non-existed “chair”. This culture is still exercised until now in Asia. L06 is a low raised table, designed to accommodate the floor culture in the contemporary setting.The height of the table is calculated for the user to use it comfortably as a dining, working or social table. The generous size invites people to gather over food or coffee or games and hopefully sharing knowledge and ideas. |
